BTW This is doable and I do it all time with various Windows builds for testing for various reasons. Basically you have to do the same thing as though this was a Physical Machine. Your next step would be to create an empty Windows 98 SE Virtual Machine that you would then Boot, and connect the USB Drive to, with the appropriate Ghost CD or even Ghost Floppy Disk Images and then Load the Ghost Image to the Virtual Hard Drive. You can indeed create a new install of Windows 98 SE using the New Virtual Machine Assistant in VMware Fusion but the Migrate Your PC. When reading about the features of Fusion 3, it says that it is capable of creating a Win 98 SE OS as a guest, but deos it really mean 'migrating' a live Win 98 system to a new VM.
If you have the Windows 98 SE CD that's good then and sorry for the confusion as I though you didn't have it. WoodyZ, I have the Win 98 CD, it is for the some of the software I need to run that I miss the CDs.
